WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN BUYING A QUARTER OR HALF BEEF:
QUARTER BEEF: 80 to 120 pounds, depending on size of animal. It's a great value that gives you all the beef standards like steaks, roasts and our great ground beef but also gives you some cuts like filets and braising ribs.
HALF BEEF: A half gives the greatest ability to customize your order, like how thick you want your steaks, what cuts you want, what roasts you want or which you want ground into burger packages.
FREEZER SPACE REQUIRED:
1/4 beef: 5 cubic feet
1/2 beef: 10 cubic feet
Whole beef: 22 cubic feet
BASED ON LAST YEAR'S BEEF ORDERS, A 1/4 BEEF CONSISTED OF:
- 7 Roasts
- 14 Steaks
- 16 packages of hamburger patties (4 to a pack)
- 22 packages of ground beef (1 lb packs)
- 5 packages of stew meat (1 lb packs)
- 2 packs of braising ribs
- Plus heart, liver, tongue and Ox trail (if desired)
